About the initiative
Seva, turned into a day of action
Seva Sankalp 2026 was a comprehensive social welfare initiative organised by Shri Riddhi Navachar Foundation on 28 June 2026 in Haldia, West Bengal — conceived to turn the spirit of seva into action by bringing women’s empowerment through sports, voluntary blood donation, accessible healthcare and environmental conservation onto a single platform.
The initiative drew on the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, particularly his emphasis on youth empowerment, character building, confidence, discipline and service to society. Girls got a field to prove themselves on, citizens got a place to give blood, families got eye care within reach, and the ground around the venue got greener.

Inter-School Women’s Football Tournament
Eight schools, one field, and a simple argument: sport builds confidence and opens doors for girls. The tournament gave young women a platform for talent, discipline, teamwork and leadership rather than a lecture about them.
“Dayboddhotar Roktodan” — Voluntary Blood Donation
Organised in association with Haldia Sub-Divisional Hospital. 98 donors came forward, and every unit collected is a potential lifeline during a transfusion, a surgery or an accident. The camp was aimed as much at building a habit of regular voluntary donation as at the day’s count.
Free Eye Check-up Camp
200 beneficiaries received professional eye examinations and consultation, with the focus on early detection and on putting preventive care within reach of people who would otherwise keep postponing it.
“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” — Environmental Conservation
500 trees planted and 300 saplings distributed, with plantation treated as a long-term responsibility rather than a photograph: participants carried saplings home to nurture beyond the venue.

The winning side was led by Thandamoni Baskey, a member of the India U-17 Women’s Football Team. Her presence made the tournament’s point for it: every girl deserves the platform, and some of them are already playing for the country.
A collective step towards social change
Seva is not merely an act, it is a responsibility
From encouraging young girls to pursue their sporting ambitions to inspiring citizens to donate blood, from eye care delivered inside the community to trees that outlive the day — Seva Sankalp 2026 reflected the belief that social change begins with collective participation and responsible action. The Foundation remains committed to empowerment, healthcare, environmental sustainability, youth development and community welfare.
